Going back to school is always an exciting time at Gaztelueta, but this year the excitement is even greater due to the number of students joining our school for the first time, especially in Infants and Primary. Grateful for the trust placed in Gaztelueta's educational project, we are looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Over the summer the school has undergone a series of refurbishments to its facilities. The Infant Education pavilion has expanded its 0, 1 and 2 year old classrooms to accommodate all pupils in large, glazed spaces that allow natural light to enter and allow for a more versatile and flexible use of the spaces. The facilities of the sports centre and the central pavilion have also been adapted to accommodate the new pupils, incorporating new changing rooms and toilets that offer more space for our pupils.
Another change that has generated great excitement among families and teachers is the progressive implementation of the International Baccalaureate in Gaztelueta. As everyone knows, our school is currently in the training phase for its official implementation in the coming years, although in our classrooms the ways of programming and learning are already resonating on a daily basis. The teaching staff will continue throughout this academic year with their training by stages, implementing everything they have learnt in the classroom and thus providing a very natural transition for our pupils from Infant to Baccalaureate.
As always at the beginning of the school year, but especially in this one due to the number of pupils making their debut at Gaztelueta, the efforts of all the school staff have been focused on adapting everyone to the rhythm of the school year with the characteristics of this new academic year. The whole team is dedicated to assisting our pupils and their families in order to face the challenges that arise during this school year with enthusiasm.
