Within the framework of the Forensic Science project of the IBSC (International Boys Schools Coalition) in which Gaztelueta participates, the 2nd Baccalaureate students of the Science modality have visited the Scientific Police facilities at the Ertzaintza Base in Erandio.
After the welcome, the Head of Area explained the history of the Scientific Police, which was created in 1990, and has been a member of the ENFS (European Network of Forensic Science) since 2006. He described the different departments into which the division is organised. They then visited the laboratories, where showed them the techniques they use to analyse the samples they collect from crime scenes. they are investigating.
The Forensic Science IBSC project also involves students from other schools in countries such as the United States, Canada, South Africa, Japan, India and Peru. All participants in the project - which focuses on forensic chemistry - will visit forensic science laboratories in their respective countries.
