Torrelavega hosted the first Cantabrian round of the international circuit of electric and ecological vehicles 'Greenpower Iberia-Bridgestone', in which two teams from Gaztelueta took part: Black Arrow y Blue Wind. The local IES Miguel Herrero team made its debut in the event, with a vehicle designed and built by the students of the first year of Vehicle Maintenance of Basic Vocational Training.

The technical improvements that the ESO students had made to the Black Arow vehicle, since the previous race in San MamésThey gave excellent results. From the first moment they were in first position, closely followed by the team from the second half of the season. Mady Factory from the Madre de Dios school. However, a punctured front tyre forced them to stop in boxes to replace the wheel and the resulting time loss dropped them to third place. The Mady Factory won a sporting and well-deserved victory.

Carrera Cantabria

For its part, the Blue Wind was the big surprise of the day, achieving an equally well-deserved second place thanks to the consistency maintained during the race and a driving style that managed to reduce battery consumption.

In the F24 Plus category, IES Sánchez Lastra from Asturias won.
