On a day like today, nearly seven decades ago, a project dreamt up by St. Josemaría, founder of the Opus Dei. It was a group of families who pushed it forward by seeking for their children values education in a person-centred family environmentIn this project, the development of human virtues such as sincerity, loyalty, companionship and joy, all with a Christian sense of life, will take precedence.
Thus, on 16 October 1951, 63 students began their classes, taught by a young teaching group, but full of enthusiasm and desire to work. From the beginning, its pillars were clear, and today it remains faithful to them on a daily basis. They are the educational excellencethe personal developmentthe educational innovation and the footing culture, sport and sustainability.
This anniversary is celebrated in about exceptional circumstances, to which, in order to continue serving families and society, Gaztelueta has adapted by putting all the means at its disposal to continue to be able to do what it has been doing for the last 69 years of its history: helping families in the education of their children.
