The project Forensic ScienceThe new school, a reality at the school for the last three years, has been elected finalist of the I Awards STEAM Euskadi Sariak. The Technical Committee of the awards has evaluated the 133 applications submitted and has selected this project among the 12 finalists. This committee is composed of the Department of Education of the Basque Governmentthe Centro de Recerca per a l'Educació Científica i Matemàtica (CRECIM) of the University of Barcelona. Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Basque Agency of Innovation, Innobasque.
Thanks to having moved to the first phase with the Forensic Science project and to offering educational projects oriented towards the objectives of the Strategy STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Euskadi and have a STEAM characterthe school has been awarded the STEAM Euskadi Seal of Approval. The minimum criteria to pass to the first phase were to obtain a minimum number of points in the objectives section and in the STEAM character section.
To proceed to the next phase of evaluation it has been necessary to obtain the highest scores The following areas have been evaluated: objectives, STEAM character, methodology used, results obtained, innovative character and improvements to be implemented.
An expert jury, composed of six members of the Committee of Experts of the STEAM Euskadi Strategy, will evaluate and award the prizes during the month of July. The awards are organised by the Basque Government's Department of Education in collaboration with the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque.
