On the eve of the feast day, following the tradition, whereby the "cuadrillas" take to the streets in the villages to sing to St. Agatha dressed in regional costumes and forming small choirs, the school joined in the celebration.
The Infant and Primary educational stages had prepared different events during the day. The children in Infant Education sang in their classrooms dressed in the morning with the zapi of paintings, the txapela and their makilas brought from home. For the rest of the day their teachers also organised puppet theatres, storytelling and thematic-artistic workshops to teach them how to live these traditions that are so much a part of ours.
But the high point came at midday, when Infants and Primary School joined together in the Central Pavilion to form a large choir. and together they sang the hymn to St. Agatha in front of the older Primary pupils, while rhythmically pounding the floor, something that had never happened before in the history of the school. All the classes came out to enjoy the visit and took part in this tradition.
