Organised by the school's Alumni Association, a unique, solidarity performance of the play by playwright Pedro Muñoz Seca took place in Las Arenas in September.

The amateur theatre company Bendito Cariñena (born out of the author's love and family ties) has performed this play in different cities with great success and is distinguished by the fact that its members include up to four of the author's own descendants, Pedro Muñoz Seca. The entire cast, as well as the technical staff and management team, are exclusively amateurs.
Throughout the four acts, they staged Pedro Muñoz Seca's best-known comedy with great fidelity. The audience filled the auditorium and thoroughly enjoyed the performances, as they demonstrated with their laughter and applause throughout the evening. The usual cast, in which former school pupil Ángel Gortázar (prom. 13) was the main protagonist, with the participation of Álvaro Alonso (current teacher at Gaztelueta and former student of prom. 23)Ángel Ramírez (former teacher) and a varied group of primary and secondary school pupils.
The proceeds, in accordance with the aims of the Association, will be dedicated to a humanitarian aid plan for the inhabitants (basic foodstuffs, shelter and a reforestation plan) of the Bolivian Amazon, coordinated by the NGO Zabalketa founded and promoted by alumni of the school.
