Yesterday, the University Business School (University School of the Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao) hosted the final of the VIII University and Business Competition (PREUNICA)1,500 students from 38 schools in the Basque Country took part in the 2019 edition. The theme of this year's edition was to propose a marketing plan to increase the young clientele of the Zubiarte Shopping Centre. A total of 300 different projects were submitted to the competition.
In a very competitive final, the Gaztelueta team, under the supervision of Gaztelueta teacher Roberto Ronda and composed by Álvaro Asúa, Álvaro Ruiz, Miguel Benatza, Carlos Mattheus and Alex Arrieta, won the prize. His clear and precise presentation convinced the jury, which was made up of Zubiarte executives, together with representatives of the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce.
Over the last few months, the different schools have worked in teams acting as consultants, as well as planning communication strategies and deciding on the necessary advertising investment in new technologies. The aim of this activity is to bring business reality closer to the students in the 2nd year of the baccalaureate, relating it to the subject of Economics. The Gaztelueta team already won first place a few years ago, in the V Edition.
