Last Saturday was held in Gaztelueta the II Remember of the traditional Cycling Tour of the school. On this occasion, homage was paid to Mr. Ramón Zubiaga, who passed away recently and was the first winner of the Climb to Gaztelueta in 1958.
With the participation of more than 40 runners and the collaboration of alumni and teachers who accompanied the race with motorbikes and provided supplies, the race covered 45 kilometres through the Biscayan geography.
On this occasion Fernando Aburto, son-in-law of the honoree, crossed the finish line in first place. At the end of the race, all the participants gathered again in the red square of Gaztelueta where they enjoyed the prize-giving ceremony and recovered their strength after the effort.
