These last few days have been marked by the excitement of Athletic Club de Bilbao's victory in the final of the Copa del Rey in Seville, an event that we have enjoyed so much with family and friends.

A historic event that will mobilise hundreds of thousands of red and white fans ready to accompany the team this coming Thursday in the eagerly awaited barge from its departure in Getxo to Bilbao City Hall.

As was the case 40 years ago, due to the traffic restrictions from 14:00h onwards, the schools in Bizkaia will join in the celebration, adapting our timetables in an exceptional way.

Given that traffic will be affected, especially on the accesses to Bilbao, the bus service will continue with its usual routes, but the departure will be brought forward.

The organisation for this coming Thursday 11 April will be as follows:

  • All pupils will have lessons in the morning until 13:00h and we have made provision for them to have lunch in school before that time.
  • There will be no extracurricular classes.
  • The bus service will leave the school at 13:15h. We will try to ensure that the buses can follow the usual route. If there are any incidents, we will keep you informed.
  • Students will be collected from the school from 13:00h to 13:15h.

As on other occasions, please remember to send the relevant notices before 11 a.m. to Gaztelueta Secretary.

We hope you will all be able to enjoy this long-awaited event.
