This edition of the Autumn Olympiad had a special flavour as it was held on the day of the school's 70th birthday, kicking off a very special year of celebrations.
After two years without being able to celebrate it, this October we have been able to see again the Primary Education pupils competing in different competitions. athletics events.
Circumstances made it necessary, however, to hold this edition without the families being able to attend in order to complete the good atmosphere that always reigns on this occasion. First of all, the pupils of the 1st Primary School competed. Early in the morning, after lighting the torch in the cauldron and hoisting the Olympic flag on the flagpole, the younger Primary pupils took part in an obstacle course, followed by the 2nd and 3rd Primary cross country race.
After the little ones, it was the turn of the older Primary pupils, who competed in the 4x80 metres, the obstacle course (with a higher degree of difficulty) and the cross country race for each year group. The greater athleticism of these boys made the races even more equal and exciting. Some of them were hotly contested right up to the finish line.
The winners were put on the podium and awarded with medals and trophies presented by the school principal. All participants received refreshments at the end of the races.
