Around thirty students were able to get first-hand experience of the Technology Interpretation Centre at the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia, located in Derio.
There, divided into groups, they were shown part of the facilities while being explained to them how many companies are committed to innovation and how they apply technology to various situations in everyday life.
Among many other things and through practical and interactive examples, they taught them how a mobile phone or a DVD works, the relationship between technology and nature or why it is necessary to protect ourselves on the Internet.
Technology is present and applied in all areas, as they saw by showing them examples of increasingly energy-efficient and self-regulating houses, as well as surprising applications of technology in sport, motorsport and pharmaceuticals.
The enjoyable visit lasted for three hours and there was still time to get to know some of the innovative projects being worked on in this creative and inspiring space.
