After two more years of work in May, the workshops at school yesterday, from the Burguer King restaurant in Leioa, several secondary school students recorded a full 45-minute programme, which was broadcast an hour later on the local radio station. Family and friends accompanied the group of young journalists to see how they made radio.
Julen UgaldeThe four groups of students were assisted by the station manager during the recording. Each of them had prepared an interview with a guest, with different themes separated by songs by Johny Cash or Bill Halley: the first one was Iñigo Gomeza (1st Bach student), Athletic youth player, who told his experience in the youth categories of the historic club since he was a child; then they sat down in front of the microphone Mikel Mendía (62nd prom), who recounted his trip to a labour camp in Lebanon in 2018; Iñigo Sobradillo (42nd promotion), which is designing a revolutionary surfboard; and Willy Gutiérrez (42nd promotion), singer of Los Brazos, who explained his beginnings in the world of music, the influence of his family, as well as some intrahistory of the band and some of their songs.
With a song by Los Brazos sung live, this programme by 12 and 13 year olds ended with a magnificent journalistic experience. Thanks to the radio station Vinyl FM And to Burger King for making it possible, see you next time! Eskerrik asko!
