After the celebration of the Holy Mass, the ceremony was opened with a few brief words from the president, Oscar Lecanda (26th Prom). Rafa Cardenal (26th Prom) was in charge of the reading of the activities report, followed by the approval of the previous minutes and the budget. Jaime Bernar (20th Prom) summarised the activities that he is currently developing ZabalketaNGO promoted by the Alumni. Peru Uribe (2nd Prom) then reported on the activities of the association in Madrid, highlighting the November meeting, in which almost 100 Gaztelueta alumni took part.
In the subsequent colloquium, Francisco Errasti (teacher and headmaster of the school between 1970 and 1981) explained how the school was set up and managed. CIMA (Centre for Applied Medical Research of the University of Navarra) of which he was the first director. Many Gaztelueta alumni greeted him at the cocktail, among others the former presidents of the Association Iñigo Díaz-Guardamino (1st Prom), Alfonso Alcalá-Galiano (7th Prom) and Eduardo Sotomayor (15th Prom).
The Sports Fiesta on Saturday 25 May is the next highlight of the event, where the alumni will take centre stage. To celebrate the anniversaries of their farewell, almost forty alumni from the 37th graduating class (on the 25th anniversary of their departure) and as many from the 13th graduating class (50th anniversary) have confirmed their participation in the parade of flags.
