On Sunday 18 February, the first race of the electric and ecological cars that the students of 5th Primary and 1st ESO have built during these months took place, within the framework of the "Car of the Year". Greenpower Project.
The event organised by the Kid's Kitcar Association took place on Bilbao's Gran Vía (between Moyúa and El Corte Inglés) and 400 schoolchildren from various schools and family associations took part. View photos
The Greenpower methodology is based on the proposal of real challenges and other activities that complement the learning of scientific and technological contents with the development of divergent thinking and the increase of students' creativity. All in English.
It also encourages connections between the educational sphere and the business world. To do so, the students have to find the sponsors and resources necessary to bring their project to fruition, and they also work on communication and sales skills, as well as drawing up a business plan, which they have to prepare and explain to the sponsors.
