A few days ago, solidarity activities began at the school. Gaztelueta's solidarity project is coordinated by the Association IrekiThe association is a non-profit making organisation.

Each year group attends an activity one or two days a week. The places where we collaborate are the canteen of the Little Sisters of the Poor (1st ESO), the Charity Institution of the Sacred Heart in Artxanda (2nd ESO), the canteen of the Rafaela María Occupational Centre in Zorroza (3rd ESO), the residence of the Miranda Foundation in Barakaldo (4th ESO), the Arangoiti Occupational Centre for people with disabilities (1st and 2nd BACH) and the Municipal Residence of the Sacred Heart in Aiboa (1st and 2nd BACH).

The work carried out by the pupils is above all accompaniment, helping in different ways and being close to the people who form part of these groups. The aim of the project is twofold: to help disadvantaged social groups and to create a greater awareness of solidarity among the school's pupils.
