Alejandro de Sosa, Juan Cabo and Luis Ybarra, 3rd year ESO students have been finalists of the third edition of the Naukas Science video contest Naukas Science clipwith his video entitled "The antibiotic apocalypse. A history of bacteria".
More than 700 young secondary school students from all corners of Spain took part in the competition, which began in February. A total of 500 videos were entered for this year's edition. Once all the videos had been examined, a total of 324 went on to the competition phase: 133 competed in the Animation category and 191 in the Youtuber category.
The jury has analysed the 324 videos entered in the competition and from there they selected the best in each category. A total of 52 videos competed in the final phase.
The selection process assessed, among other things, the creativity and originality of the subject matter, the clarity and pace of the presentation and the quality and coherence of the scientific content. This year, once again, the jury highlighted the great difficulty they had in choosing the winning videos due to the quality of the work presented, the great creativity employed and the use of new ways of communicating science.
Once again, our students have done a good job and have been among the best in the world. top ten in its category.
