In April, Elías Mas Serra (Manlleu, Barcelona, 1945), who has lived in Bilbao since 1971, visited the 4th year primary school classes and came to talk to the pupils about poetry. Poet and architect, Doctor from the University of the Basque Country, he has been awarded numerous prizes.
During the classes, Mas explained to the students what poetry is, recited the well-known poem 'Canción del pirata', by José de Espronceda, and then discussed it with the children.
This visit was the prelude to the Book Day, in which the Primary 4 pupils recorded videos in which they explained which books they recommend to other children of their age.
