The pupils strove to win the medals in the 61st edition of the Autumn Olympiad.

In a sporting atmosphere full of families and friends, on a cloudy but pleasant morning, the day opened with a parade around the athletics track, with the school flag and the Olympic flag leading the way.

After the cauldron was lit by the pupil with the most votes in 6th Primary, Pablo González Anacabe, and once the Olympic flag had been hoisted at the top of the mast, the different events began: shot put, high and long jump, relay and steeplechase races. The students were eagerly awaiting the start of their competitions. However, as is tradition, the main event was the cross country race, undoubtedly the most demanding.

Together with Imanol Goyarrola, they presided over the event and presented the trophies to the winners. Javier Barcala, general manager of RETABet Bilbao Basket and former parent of the school, as well as Malú Lacarte, teacher. Once again this autumn, the Olympiad has served to unite the Gaztelueta family around athletics and the best values of sport.
