This Friday the deck of the Poli has experienced a very special event as a culmination to the Knowing the world" project that the students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Primary have been held during the last weeks of the school year. The event also brought together the families of the Primary School pupils, who were invited to a vibrant display of traditions and cultures from all over the world.
From 14.30h the covered patio of the sports hall was filled with colour and joy, with families, pupils and teachers taking part in a variety of activities designed to promote the appreciation and appreciation of the respect for different cultures represented in their classes. The event was attended by more than 150 families who showed their commitment and involvement in the project.
One of the main attractions of the fair were the cultural stalls, where the students presented unique aspects of their home cultures. Each stall was decorated with flags, handicrafts and traditional objects, and offered visitors the opportunity to learn about the history, clothing and customs of different countries. In addition, typical dishes from each country were available for tasting, delighting the visitors with very special flavours.
The diversity party to celebrate the end of the "Getting to know the world" project in Gaztelueta has been much more than a celebrationThe lesson was a lesson from our primary school pupils about the importance of inclusion and respect by the different cultures which has served not only to strengthen the ties between them, but has also provided an opportunity for them to share and appreciate their own roots and those of their peers.
