Alumni of the 9th promotion, Pedro MorenésBizkaia-born businessman and politician (Las Arenas, 1948), known above all for his work as a Minister of Defence (2011-2016) has held very important posts on the recent political scene. Among others, Secretary of State for Defence, Secretary of State for Security, Secretary of State for Science and Technology Policy and Spanish Ambassador to the USA.
Last Thursday, at the invitation of the Alumni Associationspoke to the audience about his professional experience. He addressed issues of geopolitics and geostrategy, offering his views on the future of Europe or Africa, and US-China relations, among other topics.
The colloquium also included a variety of questions from the audience to the speaker on current national and international politics, which Morenés answered by sharing his point of view and making use of his long experience in politics. At the end, a simple aperitif was served to the attendees.
