Fernando Monterosecondary school teacher, and Rafa Reig, a former student and member of the school's Technical Secretariat, are regular users of 3D printers, either at the school (used in the classroom in secondary education) or at home. In addition to to continue their professional workFrom the beginning of the confinement, they both started to think of ways to help others from home.

Through user communities (or makers) of these devices as Coronavirusmakers.org o CovidEuskadi, who channel the needs for sanitary materials and are in charge of distribution, Fernando and Rafa started to print visors and splash shields or ear defenders for face masks at home. The target group, in addition to healthcare workers in nearby hospitals and health centres, are the owners of small businesses in the area.

We at the school are proud to count them among our team of professionals. We would like to express our recognition and gratitude to them and to all those who are capable of thinking of others in these difficult times.
