The Research and Technology Centre of the Velatia Group in the Boroa industrial estate in Amorebieta (Bizkaia), received a study visit from the students of the 2nd Scientific-Technical Baccalaureate.
Javier Larrieta, General Manager, and Iñaki Orúe led the introductory session. Velatia is a a family-owned industrial group exporting to more than 50 countrieswhose customer focus has led to the development of a network of factories in Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Brazil, Mexico and China. Javier Larrieta explained that Velatia's solutions seek to make the world a more connected, more sustainable, smarter, safer and more humane place. Today, Velatia offers solutions, products and services for sectors as diverse as electricity grids, communication networks, transport, security and intelligent infrastructure management.
After the introductory session, organised in two groups, the students visited the laboratories and manufacturing lines in depth.. A very interesting visit to start the second trimester strong.
