In spite of the current circumstances, in Gaztelueta and specifically from the Sports Club we are convinced of the need to normalise sporting activity in a safe environment. We believe in school sport as a fantastic vehicle for transmitting values through play and physical exercise.

Therefore, it has been arranged that in 1st and 2nd Primary, through the school's Sports Club, in the afternoon break, maintaining the bubble groups and for an hour each day, the pupils will practice basic related exercises with basketball, football and handball, rotating between different sports. In this way they practice a variety of activities and prepare themselves to decide which sport they will play in the future.

From 3rd to 6th Primary the idea is similar, although for reasons of space the activities have not yet been able to begin. For their part, the 1st and 2nd years of Secondary have begun training in the three sports, which take place at the end of classes. On the other hand, the basketball, handball and federated football groups have been training since the beginning of September.

These sporting activities are always carried out under the measures indicated by the relevant health authorities.

  • Athletes maintain hygiene routines before, during and after sport.
  • Priority is given to outdoor and green activities.
  • Athletes must include a personal hygiene kit in their sports bag.
  • Equipment used during training sessions is disinfected before being used by other groups and is not used in consecutive sessions.
  • Distribution of available space ensuring interpersonal distance.
  • Disinfection of hands and shoes before and after each session.
  • Development of sessions with modifications and hygienic safety criteria.
  • Staggered group access to the dressing room.
  • Encouragement of personal hygiene and cleanliness routines.
  • Ventilation of enclosed spaces.
  • Use of a mask exclusively for classes/sessions, which is discarded at the end of the class/session.
