In recent years there has been a growing demand for professionals qualified in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Internationally, there is an increasing implementation of these competences in schools, thus adapting education to the new needs of the 21st century.

It is a new learning model based on teaching these disciplines not as separate areas of knowledge, but in an integrated way, with an interdisciplinary and applied approach.

Greenpower Inspiring Engineers

Greenpower is a project that is currently being developed in many schools in the UK. The young students work in teams and develop STEAM skills in Gaztelueta, through the construction of electric and ecological cars with which they will later compete. In this way, a positive perception of science, technology, innovation and the environment is promoted in the students.

It also fosters connections between the educational sphere and the business world. The students have to find the necessary sponsors and resources to bring their project to fruition, and they also work on communication and sales skills, as well as drawing up a business plan, which they have to prepare and explain to the sponsors.

STEAM at Gaztelueta in Robotics

The subject combines disciplines such as mechanics, electronics, computer science and artificial intelligence. Students learn about diodes, resistors, board modules, motors, sensors... and are even able to programme small robots. This is another of the keys to the STEAM project at Gaztelueta.
The Bee Bots are fun and friendly robotic bees with which our Infants learn different skills. They form part of the classroom and are a new and motivating resource for the little ones.
Students participate every year in the international FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competition, using themed challenges to engage students in research, problem solving and science.

Our motto

"Be our yes, yes. Be our no, no".

The school's motto responds to a founding desire to give special prominence to the habits of sincerity and loyalty.
