Gaztelueta's own project in this first stage of infant school takes special care to ensure that the pupils feel at homeprioritising from the outset a safe environmentThe teachers are prepared, close to the child, and know the importance of the child's education. emotional managementThe child's evolutionary development and taking into account the principles of positive education to promote growth and proper development autonomy.

Educational offer from 5 months of age

The infancy stage covers from 4 months to 6 years encompassing two cycles.
First cycle
Cradle Classroom, 1 and 2 years old
Second cycle
For children aged 3, 4 and 5.

Personalised attention

The Personalised attention is a fundamental pillar in the whole educational process. From the beginning, each family is assigned a tutor/preceptor who will accompany them throughout the course for whatever they need. Three personal interviews with the family are planned throughout the course.
Our reinforcement plan, with small work groups, conversation and tutoring assistants, as well as the lifelong learning The teachers' work allows the needs of each pupil to be individualised, bringing out the best in each pupil in a family-school teamwork that is key.
The Psychopedagogical Guidance Department (D.O.P.)integrated in our school, aims to prevent, detect and monitor learning problems. It also has a specific programme designed for students with high abilities.

Educational project

From an early age, we attach great importance to competence work which are necessary for the future of the pupils and which has led us to make a firm commitment to reinforcing oral expression by means of a public speaking programme for young children both in Spanish and in the languages of the centre (English and Basque).
The values and the Christian identity The service to others is very present in the school, through small gestures that are worked on every day, both in helping pupils to help others and in different solidarity campaigns in which both families and children do their bit. Care for the environment and respect for nature through the school garden and other recycling activities are already present in the infant stage.

Multilingual centre

We have different projects with the aim of achieving real immersion in second languages. In the infant stage we have our own Speaking Corner, through which pupils from the age of 3 have the opportunity, within the school timetable, to reinforce notions in English in small groups of 4-5 children on a weekly basis. Both in the crèche and in the 1 and 2 year old classrooms, they are exposed to the 3 languages through songs, stories, early stimulation, etc.

Play and other parts of the school day

The dining room is another highly educational moment. We have a healthy eating project, where in addition to promoting a balanced and tasty diet, children learn good table manners in a fun and motivating way.

Culture, sport and sustainability

From the age of 4 there is a range of extracurricular activities on offer, with the possibility of music initiation or multisport activities at break times.
During the course, many cultural activities take place such as musicalsWe have also been involved in storytelling, visits to museums and outings that offer pupils meaningful and enriching learning. Through a Global Learning project, from the age of 4, activities are carried out in collaboration with English language centres, such as the one carried out this year with schools in the USA through digital connections that open the doors to the world.
